About Us

Russ grew working up in a third generation family owned wholesale food business that specialized in fresh produce.  He has degrees in Natural Resource Conservation and Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana and worked in that field for some time.

Julie grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and moved to the area with her family in 1982.  She currently works for the government as an Environmental Geologist doing groundwater remediation.

We receive lots of help on various tasks around the farm from all of our family.  Julie’s sister, Jenny, has a farm nearby and broods all of our chicks for us there, as well as helps with various other tasks.
